Wiemken Foot and Ankle is a family run practice which has been a staple of the Strongsville community for 30+ years. Dr. Gregory Wiemken has provided compassionate, thorough and patient-centered care since the clinic's inception in 1991. Recently, Dr. Bradley Wiemken has completed his podiatric and surgical training and will be a welcomed addition to this practice over the coming years. We look forward to treating you!
Dr. Gregory Wiemken
Dr. Gregory Wiemken is a native of Waterville, Ohio near Toledo but has resided in Strongsville over the past 30 years. He obtained his undergraduate degree at Ohio State University before obtaining his DPM at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 1989. Dr. Wiemken was the recipient of an OCPM scholarship and elected to Pi Delta National Honor Society. He completed Residency at Cambridge Hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Wiemken is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a fellow with the American College of Foot Surgeons. He is a member of both the American Podiatric Medical Association and the American Diabetes Association. His hospital affiliations include Southwest General Health Center and The Surgery Center in Middleburg Heights.
Following his extensive training, Dr. Wiemken has spent the past 30+ years in Strongsville, OH providing quality podiatric services and surgical interventions to the community. His favorite part of his career is seeing his patients that he has built relationships over the years and believes like it is visiting old friends.
Dr. Wiemken has been married for over 35 years to his wife Kathy. He has two children, Brad and Alex, who is a middle school teacher. He loves gardening, baseball and his dog Winslow. He also coaches travel volleyball with his daughter, Alex.
Dr. Bradley Wiemken
Following in his father's footsteps, Dr. Bradley Wiemken has spent most of his early years in Podiatry offices learning the ins and outs of the field. He pursued his undergraduate training at the Ohio State University and then went on to attend Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine graduating in 2021. Dr. Wiemken was the recipient of an KSUCPM scholarship and elected to Pi Delta National Honor Society. Following medical school, he was trained through Mercy Health's residency program servicing major hospitals and Podiatric Centers in the Cleveland and Akron area. Through this residency, he received extensive surgical training at local Level 1 Trauma Centers including Cleveland Clinic Akron General and MetroHealth. Here he specialized in providing foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction, diabetic limb salvage, and wound care. Dr. Bradley Wiemken notes that his favorite part of this career is interacting with patients and looks forward to developing relationships with them as he expands his expertise in the field.
Bradley is married to his wife, Allison, who is a pediatric nurse practitioner. He enjoys taking his dog, Willow, swimming. He is an avid Cleveland sports and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
